GOLDEN MEMBER AWARD FROM ACPA

At the World of Concrete show in January 2024, the American Concrete Pumping Association (ACPA) held an awards ceremony during its ACPA Membership Meeting to honor individuals and companies for their achievements in our industry. ACPA leadership also updated its members on their plans for 2024. One major initiative is the “We Are Safer Together” campaign, which communicates the importance of job site safety and includes other industry partners such as the CFA Concrete Foundations Association (CFA), Tilt-Up Concrete Association, and the ASCC.

Con Forms has been a vocal supporter of the ACPA and proudly attends the annual event each year to support its mission and team! This year was particularly special as Con Forms was recognized as one of the original founding members of the ACPA and for their significant contributions to the association and the concrete pumping industry. In appreciation, Construction Forms was presented with one of the very first “ACPA Golden Member” plaques and recognition awards at the meeting.

In the early 1990s, the then-secretary of the ACPA and VP of Sales for Con Forms, Don Taylor, took early retirement to take over the association’s management and get it back on its feet financially. During this time, Con Forms generously continued to pay Don so that his services to the association were free.

Each year during World of Concrete, someone is awarded the ACPA Lifetime Achievement Award; this coveted award was initially called the R.E. Henry Lifetime Award. Richard Henry was one of the principals at Con Forms in the 1990s, and the ACPA wanted to recognize the contributions he made through his leadership at Con Forms.

The ACPA team celebrated its semicentennial and golden anniversary with poise and professionalism during the World of Concrete. Here’s to 50 more years and beyond!
