Summary:
Villari’s Concrete Pumping reached out to Con Forms to assist with a facility expansion at the Coca-Cola plant in Auburndale, FL. One challenge to this project was that it needed to be performed during plant production hours. Con Forms was able to help with the large amount of pre-pour planning required to complete the pour successfully.
The project consisted of 4000psi large rock mix pumped through 400’ of Con Forms 4” system including both slick-line and hose. All connections were made using Con Forms 4” Hevi-Duty Snap Couplings, which meet or exceed the pressures of today’s concrete pumps. The pour was performed using a Schwing 39 Meter Boom Pump connecting the boom into the slick-line. Positioning of the pump had to be strategically located in order to keep out of the way of active trucks hauling freight in and out of the facility.
An additional pour was then completed to apply the slab on top of the foundation.
